Situated on the banks of the river Aven and close to the Breton coastline, this small town is very touristy as it has a varied and very important heritage that will seduce you.
This charming little town was named "The city of painters" because it was in 1885 that a small group of painters settled in Pont-Aven. Then in 1886 some famous painters like Paul Gauguin arrived.
You can visit important galleries such as the Museum of Pont Aven for example. This one has been open since 1985 and gathers more than 4500 works.
