The history of the campsite

By immersing ourselves in the authentic history of this campsite, with its history, traditions and family, our guests discover a world that breaks away from their everyday lives, a family spirit that rejuvenates and soothes. Families share moments of joy and pleasure thanks to the unique character of this campsite located between sea and countryside. Everyone chooses the outdoor lifestyle they want, with unusual and glamorous accommodation in the heart of unspoilt nature.

Camping Du Vieux Verger is also about respecting our environment.

In order to reduce the impact of our activity on nature as much as possible and to take advantage of the holidays to raise our customers' awareness, we have decided to implement a number of actions in our accommodation:

• replace disposable bed sheets with plastic mattress covers,
• avoiding disposable bottles and replacing them with glass bottles,
• make it easier to dispose of bio-waste in composters and for the hens with bio-buckets,
• make it easy to dispose of packaging in selective sorting bins using carrier bags.
• The Camping Du Vieux Verger has already equipped itself with: a plant shredder to use hedge trimmings as mulch, two composters (the compost obtained is used in the campsite's flower boxes), a heat pump to heat the swimming pool, showerheads and tap aerators (hydro-economy systems), LED spotlights, etc.

Preserving nature is everyone's business!

Here are a few simple eco-gestures to adopt during your holidays:

In my toilet bag, I switch to :

• Solid cosmetics (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving soap)
• To toothbrushes with interchangeable heads
• Washable cotton pads/wipes (wash with soap and water wherever you are)
• Washable sanitary towels
• In my accommodation:
• I collect the water from washing vegetables in a basin in the sink so that it can be reused to water the plants
• I turn off the lights when I leave the room
• I unplug chargers
• I turn off electrical appliances on standby

When shopping, I prefer :

• Bulk and reusable bags
• Products in season
• Local traders: markets, producers, bakeries, fishmongers, etc.

At the beach, I choose :

• A reusable flask filled with tap water (it's drinkable at the campsite)
• Reusable boxes for salads or biscuits
• Washable towels instead of paper towels
• To take my picnic and snack waste home with me for better sorting

When I travel:

• I use soft means of transport: walking, cycling, scootering, etc.
• There are so many landscapes to discover on our walks along the footpaths.
• I think about carpooling, taking the bus or the train for longer journeys
• I respect developments to preserve natural areas
