The beaches

What do you dream of more: a long sandy beach or a small cove with turquoise waters? The beaches of Névez have it all!

The five beaches of Névez, all different from each other, will allow you to enjoy your holiday in peace and quiet, in an exceptional setting in harmony with nature, just 10 minutes' walk from the Vieux Verger campsite. Whether you're a couple, a family or a group of friends, there's a beach to suit all your swimming, sports and relaxation needs.

Tahiti beach

Often described as the most beautiful beach in Névez, Raguénez beach is nicknamed "Tahiti beach" by the people of Névez because of its turquoise water and fine sand. In summer, the beach is very busy, so it is advisable to arrive early in the day.

The beach is not supervised, but children can play and swim there in complete safety. As a bonus, there's a magnificent view over the island of Raguénez, Ile Verte and, offshore, the Glénan archipelago. The beach has disabled access and a boat slipway. Public toilets are available on site, as is a large car park.

Dourveil beach

The nearest beach to the campsite is Dourveil beach. This beautiful beach of fine sand and crystal-clear water is particularly popular with surfers and bodyboarders. The Trégunc Névez surf school is located on the beach and offers surf and paddle lessons for adults and children aged 5 and over. The beach is not supervised, but presents no particular danger. Public toilets and free parking nearby.

Port-Manec'h beach (Saint-Nicolas)

Situated at the mouth of the Aven and Belon rivers, Port Manec'h beach (or Saint-Nicolas beach) is the most fashionable beach in Névez. The bathing cabins dating back to the Belle Époque are a reminder that the beach was once a popular holiday destination for a clientele attracted by the presence of the Pont-Aven painters just a stone's throw away.

The beach is sheltered from the wind and is easy to swim on at high tide. A shaded area at the end of the afternoon allows you to enjoy the beach on hot summer days. The beach offers a lovely view of the Aven and Belon narrows. In the distance, the island of Groix is visible on a clear day.

Two sailing schools, the Cardinale Sud sailing club and Cap Sailing, offer kayak, windsurf, paddle and small motorboat hire. You can also take a catamaran, optimist or windsurfing course to perfect your skills!

Rospico beach

Less popular than its neighbours, Rospico beach in Névez stands out for its extraordinary size: 200 metres deep and 40 metres wide. The beach is protected from the wind by a very deep sandy cove in the shape of a ria.

You'll love its wild feel, the cliffs that give it the air of a calanque, and the fact that it's not very busy, even at the height of summer. The beach is an ideal starting point for a hike on the GR34 between Rospico and Raguenez to the east, or on the other side, between Rospico and Port-Manec'h.

Porz Kercanic beach

Shhh! This is Névez's secret beach... a little cove hidden between Raguénez and Dourveil, only accessible when the sea recedes. We won't tell you more, preferring to leave you the pleasure of discovering it during your holidays in Névez...
