Névez opens its gates to give you a warm welcome.
Ideally located on the coast of southern Finistère, between Pont-Aven and Concarneau, Névez, the "land of standing stones", is without any doubt the ideal base for you to explore our region.
Along each pathway, little treasures are to be seen: sandy beaches, small harbours, thatched cottages and granite houses. The town and its environs are excellent destinations for nature lovers.
Beaches and harbours
You've unpacked your bags, and now it's time to explore the richness and the beauty of the nearby landscapes.
You don't need to go far to find the sea, as it is less than 10 minutes' walk away from the campsite. The nearest beaches are ‘Tahiti’ (the most beautiful in the area) and ‘Dourveil’. There are also the Rospico and Port Manec'h beaches, with the ‘Blue Flag’ label.
Take your time to admire the boats moored in the harbour of Kerdruc and Port-Manec’h. A real picture postcard scene awaits you.
You can see the local fishermen coming back from the sea with their fish and live shellfish, and the sailing boats going up the River Aven.
Villages of thatched cottages
You mustn't miss these charming little villages and their granite houses with thatched roofs. They are filled with flowers all through the spring and summer.
Kerascoët and Kercanic will take you by surprise. In the space of a few seconds, you will travel back in time and find yourself in the villages of our ancestors, with their old bread ovens and hand-sculpted granite wells. Admire the architecture of some of the little houses with their walls made of large upright stones and adorned by a whole host of hydrangeas...
If you love to explore and enjoy hiking, then Névez is your ideal destination.
Put on your walking shoes and open your eyes. First, along the famous coastal path (GR34), which you can access just 600m from the campsite, and which follows the sea and the River Aven towards Port-Aven, via Rospico, Port-Manec’h, Kerdruc, Le Hénan, in one direction, and towards Concarneau, via Trévignon, Pointe de la Jument and Le Cabellou in the other. Breathtaking walks through magnificent landscapes.
But if you really want to discover Névez, then you need to venture along the little footpaths and trails. Each time, something wonderful will await you: a traditional bread oven or washing place, a calvary or thatched cottage or even a line of standing stones...
